Out of the closet: A little taste of 2008

2008 was undoubtedly a big year. We were witness to a historic presidential election, an economic crash, the realism that the newspaper industry is on it's last legs (RIP Tribune Company), circa 1973 gas prices, the Russian invasion of Georgia, The 2008 olympic games, Michael Phelps, and so much more.

But for an unorganized pack rat like myself 2008 was about one thing: hoarding as much garbage as possible (for next winter of course). So when I took tt upon myself to organize and clear some files on my laptop I was not surprised to find a file hidden in the corner of my cluttered desktop. Seemingly having been there since the beginning of time, or at least July of of 2008, I dusted off the old folder to discover that it read "links I have yet to read," Being busy with school, work, and school work, I had been grabbing interesting links and tossing them into a desktop folder for later reading. Now ladies and gentlemen, I shall share some of the contents of this folder with you.

P.S.

I really wanted to work in a reference to the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Er, maybe next time?

Welcome to The Random Closet

Well here it is, my new blog. Not so long ago I had another blog dedicated to news and educating the public about all that is serious in the world. This blog is different, it is my "random closet," A place for me to publish articles and goods that are just far too ridiculous to be neighbors with serious news articles.

I don't know how long my relationship with Blogspot will last. This is, after all, just a fling. One day I may overcome my fear of commitment and move on to a more stable relationship with the likes of some other fine blogging sites such as tumblr or typepad (which I highly recommend). In the mean time you can find me here at www.randomcloset.blogspot.com, futzing around in my always random closet. Enjoy.
